Meridiam Partners was contracted by the City of Greeley’s Water and Sewer Department to mitigate damages to their watershed from the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire. More than 10,000 acres of the burn area of that fire were considered moderate or high severity. The damage necessitated construction and installation of hillside slope stabilization; sedimentation basins; erosion control measures; stream channel stabilization; hand mulching; seeding, revegetation, and reforestation; debris removal; and flood prevention structures.

The first work order issued under the contract covered 13 sites that were identified by the City’s engineer as in need of emergency mitigation. The work required MP to interface and coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including affected private landowners.
